Hybrids combines wall drawings, digital prints, interactive projections and acrylic paintings to create an extraordinary landscape of new 'hybrid' realities. Photographs from nature - forests, trees, snow or water - are combined with complex medical photographs of specific parts of the eye. These images are then isolated, digitally manipulated and hybridized to create new images, entities with a 'life' of their own.
The work creates a context for considering how modern hybrid processes impact on our environment and on the moral and material framework of our daily lives. It also considers questions of reality. fiction, perception and randomness.
